The 2025 Annual Conference and the 8th General Assembly of the Konjac Branch of the Chinese Society for Horticultural Science (CSHS) was successfully held from June 21 to 22, 2025, at Huachen International Hotel in Chongqing, China. The event gathered leading experts, researchers, industry representatives, and member companies in the konjac industry to discuss the latest developments, trends, and innovations.
In line with the CSHS’s directive on organizational renewal, the conference completed the scheduled leadership transition for the Konjac Branch. The conference agenda included the following key activities:
- Review of the 7th Council’s Work Report
- Election of the 8th Council Members, Executive Council Members, President, Vice Presidents, and Secretary-General
- Scientific and Technological Exchanges
- Market Trend Analysis and Group Discussions
The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and networking across the konjac industry value chain. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including advancements in konjac cultivation, product applications (such as konjac gum, konjac powder, and plant-based food solutions), quality standards, and global market opportunities.
The conference also invited members to submit research papers on relevant subjects, contributing to the shared knowledge base of the industry. The selected papers were compiled and distributed to attendees to promote further learning.
